Fun and exercise for all ages

One of the first major projects undertaken by Hirst Wood Regeneration Group was to work with the council on the creation of the playground. This was followed by the basketball court and the youth pod and despite all the problems caused by the pandemic, 2021 has seen yet another improvement with the installation of recreational and gym equipment. The hope is this will encourage all age groups to take part in outdoor exercise. There’s a new path so there’s no excuse for not taking a walk even when it’s muddy. The goal posts have been renewed and soon there will be some fruit trees around the field. Once again a big vote of thanks goes to the council for helping us create one of the best playing fields in the area.
