Many of our most successful projects have
improved the environment around Hirst Wood -
projects like the Nature Reserve, the Lock Garden
and the Jubilee Blossom Orchard.
But we’ve done other things, less dramatic, but
equally as important.
Improving the environment
DOG FOULING: one of the perennial problems in most
communities. We continue to challenge dog owners at
every chance and urge others to do the same
LITTER: we’ve had several successful
litter picks and the improved look of our
community has encouraged people to take
more care with their rubbish and use the
many bins provided.
And in Eddie (right) we have a man who
continually goes the extra mile to ensure
Hirst Wood is litter free
TREES: we’ve planted trees
alongside the fences on Hirst Lane
and Hirst Wood Road and already
you can see the improvement.
