The Kennet comes through Hirst Lock
On 16 October the Kennet came through Hirst Lock on the first stage of its journey from Leeds to Liverpool. It was reproducing the very first navigation of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal which took place in October 1816. Here are some of the pictures from the day
